A demonstrably reliable CO2e footprint of products and services

Carbon Added Accounting: why?

Consumers, companies and governments want to have an increasingly accurate understanding of what the CO2e footprint of a product or service is, in order to make environmentally conscious choices. In addition, CO2e emissions are also increasingly regulated or taxed internationally. A rough assumption of CO2e emissions is therefore no longer sufficient. Nobody wants to pay too much or for someone else. Exact numbers are needed. Yet there was still no CO2e accounting method that made this possible in an accurate, uniform and efficient way. Carbon Added Accounting does make the CO2e footprint of products and services in a supply chain concrete and demonstrable. And companies, governments, accountants and consumers benefit from this.

WHAT IS IT?

Carbon Added Accounting can be compared to the VAT that you charge for your part of the work. You charge on your share of CO2e emissions. Since you also state an indication of the quality of your data and that of predecessors in the chain, the reliability of the total figures becomes clear. Your data is easily verifiable by an accountant, so that you can immediately include the results in your annual report.

Carbon Added Accounting helps:

  • Businesses to be competitive;
  • Accountants to check the CO2e information;
  • Governments to maintain control of CO2e reduction;
  • Consumers to make environmentally friendly choices.

Guidelines

Do you want your company to gain insight into its share of CO2e emissions of products or services? And in the emissions of the entire supply chain? The Carbon Added Accounting guidelines give you the tools to apply the method uniformly. In addition, they give you insights into work processes and calculation examples for specific supply chains.
